Lake Effect Snow (12-6-17)

I didn’t think about the fact that we are coming into Lake-effect snow season now when I made the forecast for yesterday (12/5). This is an important topic for those that live around the great lakes. I have never hunted in a lake-effect snowstorm but I can imagine that it certainly has a great impact on deer. This video gives a forecast for lake effect snow this week into the weekend and an explanation of how lake effect snow happens. I have said many times that snow accumulation forecasts are touchy and can vary significantly with small changes. With that in mind, don’t take the numbers you see in this video to be absolute truth. They could be very different by the time the snow falls. The main takeaway from this forecast is the areas that will be affected. Good luck.
